In summary an IMechE - approved rotation scheme, collaborating with diverse engineering teams and we are looking for your innovative ideas!

Experiencing several engineering departments ranging from Engine Test to Computer Aided Engineering will hone your problem solving and analytical skills using tools such as Six Sigma. You will also have the opportunity to work and collaborate with people in Caterpillar facilities worldwide and we are looking for you to bring fresh, innovative ideas to solve complex technical problems. You will be a fully involved team member with responsibility and accountability for key project deliverables. That said, you will be given all the support you require to be successful.

We also operate a conditional offers process, our highest performing placement students are fast tracked to our IMechE approved graduate development scheme with an offer with upon returning to University.

We recruit many placement students and graduates each year so there’s a lively social scene. To get you started we hold a Meet and Greet day and create a Facebook page so that you can get to know each other.

Requirements

Applicants should be studying for a degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Aeronautical/ Electrical/ Materials/Motorsport/Systems/Controls/Product Design Engineering or Physics and be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:1.
