In the UK we employ over 280 people who undertake a range of roles from Research & Development & Marketing through to Purchasing, Production and Supply Chain. These teams are supported by departments such as Finance & Human Resources.

Export Placement

We are seeking an intern to join our Export department, based in Folkestone, Kent, on a 12 month contract starting in August 2018.

As an Export Intern, you will work on a diverse range of tasks which will further your knowledge and skills as well as adding value to our business. During the internship you will receive a tailored induction as well as regular feedback and reviews with your supervisor.

As part of our Export Team, you will be working on tasks such as:

  • Supporting the Export Project Management Team.
    • Introduction of new products through to market launch – writing of business cases.
    • Working closely with Supply Chain, Finance and Brand Teams.
  • Updating and maintenance of our Extranet system for distributors.
  • Supporting the European Export Business Development Manager with our Sales & Operations process. This will involve monthly meetings with Supply Chain & Demand Planning.
  • Supporting Export Managers with any pre-meeting preparation work i.e. Presentations & Financial analysis.
  • Coordinating artworks from organizing pack copy files, translations and artwork briefs.
    • Preparing product and pallet labels suitable for shipment.
  • Collating distributor marketing activities and sharing with the business.
  • Assisting with our distributor event.

Who we are looking for

We welcome applications from current students looking to undertake an industry placement year and also graduates seeking their first Export opportunity.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Undergraduate/postgraduate ideally in Business Studies. 
  • Competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude.
