What do our placement roles involve?
Working as a placement student at Vocalink you will be involved in a number of tasks. You will be a point of contact for your department, represent the team at key business meetings, write, develop and review business documentation and be involved in all aspects of working for a global corporate company.

Finance Assistant – Financial Control Placement

Overall, programme for the one year placement will involve working with the VocaLink Finance function in the improvement of management accounting & analysis and work undertaken within the wider Finance department. The candidate will gain an understanding and be involved within the key aspects of the function and cover a wide range of activities including those shown below:

• Provide high level, accurate analysis and reports for internal and external viewing.
• Working on presentations and documentation to support the Finance team.
• To assist in reporting and forecasting for assigned projects and cost centres.
• To review documentation and development of existing processes, to assist in automation where possible, and improve accuracy and timeliness of financial information, including assisting in preparation of procedure and process manuals.

Our placement opportunities are open to students who are currently studying undergraduate degrees at UK universities. You will need to hold the eligibility to work in the UK for the 12 month period commencing summer 2018.
