Human Resources Placement

  • 52 week contract (typically July 2018 – July 2019)
  • 12 month placement position
  • £13,500 (plus £3,000 London Weighting Allowance if applicable)
  • 4 weeks holiday + bank holidays

  • Reports to HR Director

Job Purpose

  • To support McDonald’s Corporation to achieve its business objectives
  • Support the International Lead Markets, High Growth Markets and EU Foundational Markets
  • Support Employee Relations, People Systems, Rewards and Talent acquisition, Global people strategy and projects

Main Responsiblities

Employee Relations

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and department managers
  • Work with HR Managers across the markets and across different time zones
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers/employees on a variety of ER/HR topics as required
  • Assist in the administration element of all employee relations
  • Support the new starter process
  • Support the online filing system for employee data
  • General support function for all ER related customer service, including: flexible working/ maternity/ paternity/ discipline/ performance management/ compensation packages
  • Maintain confidentiality of any document and deal with sensitive issues

HR Project Work

  • To work as a team member to assist in the delivery of the Global People strategy, People goals and Targets.
  • Provide primary support for the on-going HR projects working with the People Systems, Rewards, Talent and HR Directors as well as supporting the Chief People Officer.
  • Manage the 2018 Industrial Placement scheme.
  • To support event planning for internal HR meetings, Awards and Competitions

Other

  • To act as an initial point of contact for both internal and external callers
  • Provide administrative support to the Global People Team as required
  • Liaise with internal HR Professionals in order to stay current and up-to-date with changing HR practices and policies
  • Other Adhoc tasks
