Supply Chain Scheme Placement - Stafford

Supply Chain is at the heart of every business, and here is no exception. Think about the daily sourcing of materials from across the world, then think about how these parts are transported into a company, manufactured, and shipped out to customers within demanding lead-times. This is only a highlight of what it means to work in Supply Chain.

Working within the Supply Chain function means delivering a quality product to a satisfied customer - on time, over and over again. The department is therefore a highly important link between our teams involved in product development, production, and most importantly our customers.

This role utilises the Caterpillar Production System (Lean Manufacturing) Principles to deliver People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) improvements

During your 12 months with us you will spend time in the following areas:

Material Planning: You will analyse part consumption and forecast demand to establish the right materials strategy, developing a Plan For Every Part (PFEP). This includes inventory planning and replenishment strategies globally.

Master Production Scheduling (MPS): MPS Planners are responsible for ensuring there is a consistent build programme for the factory. You will manage the planning of a production area, ensuring capacity constraints are met and that customer requirements are fulfilled through the build programme.

Who are we looking for?

You will be motivated, open-minded, hard-working, confident and will embrace change. In return for your dedication and hard work, you will be provided with excellent career opportunities and strong support for your personal and career development.
