Retail Sales Placement

  • To work and learn in the Retail division, support the activities of the Key Account Coordinator; completing customer set up forms in a timely manner, ensuring the information is correct and the copy detail is in line with the work of colleagues in Marketing departments.
  • Working with customers to achieve their deadlines and meet/ exceed their expectations
  • Organizing and participating in the weekly Key Accounts conference call, recording, updating and communicating forecast figures
  • Assist members of the Sales Force, other Sales Directors and PA’s as required e.g. the booking of meetings, rooms and hotel, coordinating trips / promotions and logging all relevant information.
  • Maintain data spreadsheets of Sales Director direct report (holidays/sick etc.)
  • General office duties such as drafting letters, dealing with the incoming and outgoing post, photocopying, filling, etc.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and queries in a timely manner and escalating any matters where required, following all such queries through to completion
  • The role would give the Intern the experience of working within fast moving sales environment and give them an understanding of how large Key Accounts operate
  • The role is very interactive with all departments at BSH including sales marketing, brand marketing, category, accounts, sales support and logistics which would allow them to get a broader knowledge of how a large company operates

Qualifications required

  • Working towards a Business related degree
  • Expected overall grad 2:1

Experience (type):

  • Previously had employment either paid or voluntarily.

Specific knowledge:

  • Competent Microsoft Office user
  • Commercially focused with the ability to understand the impact the quality of their work has in the wider environment.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for the completion of tasks
  • Confident in communicating with varying levels of management, including Directors and CEO’s
