PR and Communications Industrial Placement

Working in the press office, you will help us to portray our brands in the best way possible to the press. This may include liaising day to day on specific products or offers to readers, or managing large-scale events. As an intern, your principal accountability would be to provide support to the press office in ensuring the smooth running of day to day business. You would be responsible for your own live projects within the team, with exposure to senior management.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Support in delivering the Internal Communication strategy and plans
  • Manage the weekly creation and delivery of the Newsletter, delivering high quality content
  • Maintain the Intranet using back-office skills and knowledge
  • Professionalize the process for gathering business news and collating feature ideas from zones & markets
  • Support in the planning and delivery of key activities and events across the business
  • Suggest effective and strategic measurement tools to assess impact of internal communication activities
  • Responsible for raising and receipting POs on SAP, as well as creating and updating PO Tracker

About You

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Understanding of the beauty business
  • Understanding of communications tools
  • Capacity to understand the bigger business picture
  • Have a technical mind but keen to work within the heart of a business
  • Numerate and PC literate: in particular with strong Excel skills
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to interact with all areas of the business
