Finance Assistant

As a Finance Assistant, you will be expected to support all members of the Finance department in all day-to-day activities. This role is vital within the finance team with other members of the team relying on you to complete your task in an accurate and timely manner. It requires someone with good numerical skills and who pays attention to detail.

Being part of a small team will ensure a varied and worthwhile placement where you will be able to learn and apply skills obtained throughout your studies. On-going training is provided to support both your personal and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable assistant
  • Responsibility for management of supplier portfolios in various regions worldwide
  • Company banking and daily cash reconciliations
  • Liaison with the product and sales department regarding rate queries
  • Financial year-end – assisting team members in preparation of the audit
  • Ad hoc finance and administration duties as required

As well as providing a support role for the finance department, you will be responsible for managing customer and supplier relationships and dealing with issues confidently and efficiently. You should adopt a proactive attitude to the role and be able to use your initiative to solve arising issues.

This role demands excellent attention to detail, organisation, prioritisation, and teamwork as well as strong communication skills. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in accountancy and Finance and be looking to develop a career in this area.
