About Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS)
We provide finance and insurance services to customers across the entire Volkswagen Group. One of the most unexpected things about VWFS is that we don’t just provide solutions for Volkswagen. We also work with a variety of amazing brands that include Audi, SEAT, SKODA, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and MAN.
Our Finance Placements
Here in Finance we value students who bring accuracy, financial acumen and logic to the business. As a department, we’re adapting and evolving as the business moves into new areas and develops new products and services. It creates new challenges, so we need the agility, creativity and ideas to adapt too.
During your year placement you will gain experience in various financial disciplines to really build on the knowledge that you have already learned at University. Some of the main responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the daily cash sheets and payments for Volkswagen Bank, VWFS and MAN Financial Services
- Working with the Treasury team on the preparation of the daily cash flow forecasts and borrowing requirements
- Monitoring bank accounts and confirming expected payments and receipts
- Responsible for reporting on existing and future Structured Finance transactions
- Analysing data to ensure Structured Finance database integrity
- Carrying out investigation of credit balances
You’ll need to be studying towards a Finance or Business related degree, be motivated by new challenges and have a willingness to take ownership, whilst also working as part of a team.
