IT Projects Placement

Individual Project Management

  • Manage small IT projects autonomously as required within department
  • Take responsibility for the execution of projects assigned by the Programme Office Manager or Group IT Manager
  • Proactively identify and propose opportunities to improve processes and systems
  • Assist team members with execution of local and global projects
  • Support the Group IT Programme Office Manager on the development and ongoing maintenance of a departmental resource plan to show utilisation and tracking of resource.

Project Portfolio Management and Reporting

  • Work with the Group IT Programme Office Manager to deliver comprehensive project reporting to all required audiences
  • Work with the internal team to ensure all weekly project updates are done and any issues highlighted to the Group IT Programme Office Manager
  • Maintain the departmental programme reporting system (Programmexpress) ensuring consistency across all projects
  • Work with the Group IT Programme Office Manager on the development and ongoing maintenance of a departmental resource plan to show utilisation and tracking of resource.

  • Understand and assist in the achievement of department objectives
  • Take responsibility for personal development whilst taking account of departmental needs
  • Play an active role within the department, working with all team members as required
  • Assist in the appropriate execution of departmental processes and procedures including the correct use of software tools and supporting applications
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements for the Job and Person Specification

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate trainee in IT or Business
  • At least one year’s IT specific business or academic experience
  • Required IT-skills:
    • Good knowledge and experience of MS-Windows and MS-Office and an understanding of Active Directory administration
    • Good knowledge about the fundamentals of PC/ laptop hardware
    • Experience of Lotus Notes/ Domino would be beneficial
  • Required language knowledge:
    • Fluent in spoken and written English
    • German would be beneficial
  • Personal Characteristics required:
    • Ability to learn quickly
    • Willingness to get involved in a range of tasks
    • A ‘can do’ attitude
    • Process-oriented mind-set
  • Other requirements:

    Any experience of working in helpdesk type and/or process-oriented environment would be beneficial
