Business and Operations Placement

This 12 month Internship is within the Dealer Development and Strategy Department. The Porsche Dealer Network currently comprises 37 Porsche Centres and 1 Porsche Service Outlet. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the following business areas within Porsche:

Porsche Approved Pre-Owned Cars

  • Provide support to the Porsche Network for the IPL (International Porsche Locator) system which drives the Pre-Owned Stock Locator on the Porsche website
  • To coordinate the monthly PCGB Electronic Vehicle Auction
  • To assist the development and maintenance of the used car external point of sales
  • Co-ordinate the Porsche Approved Pre-Owned Car Audit including the quarterly network appeal process
  • Produce and analyse reports including Porsche Pre-Owned Market Share Analysis, Monthly Pre-Owned Market Report, Pre-Owned Centre Scorecard and Warranty Sales Report
  • To collate and evaluate monthly used car figures in order to assist in the payment of the used car quarterly bonus
  • Carry out Residual Value analysis and support the remarketing of the Porsche Cars fleets through our electronic vehicle auction

E-Performance

  • To support the tracking and monitoring of the e-readiness project plan for the Porsche Network in line with Porsche AG business objectives
  • To assist the development of the Porsche customer charging map for the UK market
  • Research market trends for E-Mobility and ensure any key information is communicated to the appropriate stakeholders within the organisation
  • Support the department in any E-Performance related events held at external venues

Market Representation

  • Assist in the coordination of Operating Guideline results and appeals
  • To assist in the compilation of territory performance for opportunity analysis
  • Maintain and update the ‘Centre Dashboard’ business performance report
  • Support with quarterly Franchise Standards Audit process and reporting strategy
  • rporate Sales Development
  • Carry out project work related to the establishment of the new Porsche Corporate Sales programme
  • Provide support to key fleet and corporate customers, maintain the contact database and attend meetings with these suppliers
  • Work with the PCGB Marketing Department to monitor the activities of our core competitors in the corporate market, produce collateral and support our dedicated web presence
  • Support the department in any commercial fleet events held at external venue

  • Assist in the administration of the Porsche Business Excellence (PBE) programme including the preparation of pre-work material, planning of Centre visits and collation of Action Plans
  • Provide support for the PBE team by assisting in coordinating resources, both internal and external
  • Provide administrative assistance for the PBE Regional Roadshow
  • Assist in the administration of PBE quarterly reporting procedures

We are looking for a pro-active self-starter who has the ability to take on and develop their own projects and to be a good team player. For our August 2018 programme the chosen candidate will play a fundamental role in day-to-day tasks and projects, giving you the opportunity to make a real contribution to our organisation and gain invaluable work experience. Candidates should be undergraduates looking for a placement year in their 3rd year of study. Preferably have strong IT Skills, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.

We offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, daily food allowance and a bus pass in the Reading area.
