Procurement Undergraduate Placement (Finance)

At E.ON, we aim to give our customers ‘simpler products, at fair prices and a responsive, friendly and helpful service’. The Procurement team helps honour our ‘fair prices’ promise, by looking for savings that we can turn into value for our customers.

What you’ll do

This is a Year in Industry placement where you’ll join the Procurement team for E.ON Renewables. Here, you’ll learn how we deliver value by ensuring every service and every product that we procure represents the best possible solution for both our customers and us. This includes:

  • Ensuring compliance with group management policies
  • Carrying out market research and supplier development
  • Tendering, participating in eAuctions and negotiating with suppliers for renewables demands
  • Managing stakeholders
  • Supporting the team in delivering excellent customer service and carrying out admin duties as needed.

This placement could well prepare you for a future with us. Shine and we may fast-track you to the last stage of assessment for one of our graduate schemes. Equally, with the chance to explore our business whilst you’re here, you might find yourself securing a long-term career within procurement.

What we’re looking for

  • You’re working towards a 2:1 degree in either a numerate or finance degree.
  • You are highly numerate and have strong analytical and financial evaluation skills.
  • You have strong communication skills.
  • You’ll need to be competent in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
  • You have an interest in the UK power and renewable energy market.
  • You’ll need to be flexible and willing to travel (including international assignments).
  • You’re good at spotting commercial opportunities.
