Human Resources Associate

As a placement student at SAP UK Ltd, you will have the opportunity to become an integral part of the UK HR department. This will involve working closely with the HR Director, HR Business Partners and the HR Operations team, assisting with both day-to-day activities and various additional ad hoc projects.

Your main objective as a HR Associate will be to ensure that the HR department continues to provide high standards to our employees. You must also be able to provide the team with support by taking on any tasks at hand; especially at busy times.

Furthermore, as a HR Associate you will be exposed to immediate responsibility when you are introduced to the Employee Development Programme, Management Development Programme, Acquisitions, Diversity and various other project undertakings by the UK Team. The intention will be for you to become an integral member of the project team and develop and improve them for the future.

Expectations and Tasks

This is an exciting role within a face paced HR team. Your daily roles will include:

To become proficient with HR systems and reporting tools;

  • To create relevant reports when required:
  • To assist in co-ordinating and developing the monthly induction process for new employees;
  • To assist the HR department with the organisation and execution of a variety of projects including: acquisitions, employee development, management development, diversity and many others;
  • To assist in reviewing, amending and implementing HR policies and procedures;
  • To further manage the quarterly HR policy review sessions and help initiate centralisation of processes to the HR Shared Service Centre;
  • To provide support to the HR Business Partners for their business areas;
  • Provide support to the HR Director where necessary

Ideal Candidate:

Bright, articulate and motivated students who are currently on course for a 2:1 degree with the following key competencies:

  • Business, accounting ,IT experience / working knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Especially Excel)
  • Time Management
  • Team player
  • High energy level
  • Effective communicator / good interpersonal skills
  • Inquisitive and not afraid to ask questions
  • Logical
  • Focused and organised
  • Ability to work to deadlines and within budget
