Operations Placement

Our Operations Intern Placement Programme is first-class when it comes to giving placement students real insight into working in a large global manufacturing business whilst preparing you for a professional career. This position is ideal for those studying Business or Engineering related degrees.

What you will get

During the year placement you will gain invaluable experience working with a team of diverse employees. From day one you will be mentored by highly skilled Operations professionals who will guide and support you to ensure you receive the maximum from your placement.

Your assignment may involve Project Management; Lean Six Sigma (customer value, waste and continuous improvement); and Lean Visual Management. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with different departments such as Quality, R&D, Finance, and Customer Service witnessing how various departments of the business work together.

During the duration of the Internship you will develop a wide range of Eaton leadership competencies such as business strategy, business acumen and leveraging resources. The scope of the assignments allows interns the opportunity to provide value to the organization by achieving a well-defined, important strategic objective for the Operations function.

In addition you will join an established programme alongside a cohort of interns from across the UK offering the opportunity to attend numerous training sessions and skills workshops.

Qualifications

Candidates should ideally be undergraduates working towards a minimum of a 2:1 and studying in a related discipline (e.g. Business or Engineering). Please provide your first year classification on your application. As our placements are based in multiple sites across the UK you must be geographically flexible. You must have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship and where appropriate comply with ITAR regulations.
