Marketing Associate

At SAP, Marketing is Split into 3 roles: SAP UKI (Feltam), Concur (Maidenhead) and Fieldglass (Central London)

For the SAP UKI Marketing role you will work within the UK Marketing department at the world’s third largest software provider. You will have exposure to all areas within the department, working as a cross industry-marketing associate, helping to execute campaigns.

Your day-to-day tasks will range from demand generation, events management, campaign support, web/content management, coordination of social media projects and general admin to the marketing managers. You will also be involved in sponsorship management, including Manchester City FC and Wimbledon. You will learn about communication, branding, lead generation, campaign execution, budgeting, planning and marketing management.

The Concur Marketing role will be associated with marketing for the SAP product Concur. You will be responsible for supporting the execution of marketing plans for the Enterprise business unit to promote demand generation and support pipeline acceleration throughout the buyer’s journey. This will include involvement in content syndication, social media, advertising, PR, events, agency management and email campaigns.

The Fieldglass Marketing role will be associated with marketing for our line of business SAP Fieldglass. This position will have further involvement in sales projects and tasks.

Day-to-day responsibilities are likely to include: Supporting the marketing team in all activities, including events, marketing and sales operations, social, research, email, lead management, customer relations, creating marketing assets (case studies/collateral) and managing the customer reference programme. Taking on own marketing projects and initiatives, working closely with the relevant sales teams and assisting sales leadership with forecasting.

SAP is the 22nd most recognised brand globally. Any intern joining will learn key functional expertise such as how marketing campaigns are run, how to report on campaigns, what are Key Performance Indicators, how a company like SAP runs, not just in the marketing area, but also through finance, contracts, legal and sales. The role is very fast paced and will give the intern the best office skills they can hope for!

Additional on the job experience includes working with agencies to see the agency side of marketing.

Ideal Candidate

Bright, articulate and motivated students who are currently on course for a 2:1 degree with the following key competencies:

  • Business, accounting ,IT experience / working knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Especially Excel)
  • Time Management
  • Team player
  • High energy level
  • Effective communicator / good interpersonal skills
