IT Industrial Placement

Our Industrial Placement Scheme is designed to provide you with invaluable industry experience, professional skills and an opportunity to secure a future graduate role within the group. We believe in giving you immediate responsibility as well as outstanding support and a bespoke training plan designed with our Industrial Placement students in mind.

The IT department designs, implements and maintains the software systems within the UK and provides services for the PSA Group worldwide. The main responsibility of the IT department is ensuring the technical infrastructure is running well within Pinley House, this includes the provision of laptop and desktop computers, servers, large printing machines, telecommunication for voice and data and operational support.

The IT department is made up of a number of separate teams. They are responsible for IT support for all Group companies including the aftersales warranty systems and implementing software programmes once they have been developed, tested and validated. Their role is also to schedule, track and reduce the errors of programmes, provide back-up for existing programmes and technical support.

During your twelve months you will be involved with the daily activities within the department as well as having your own projects to manage and organise. The IT function communicates with French counterparts; therefore the ability to speak French widens the scope of possible projects which you can work on.

The strategic activities of PSA are based at our modern head office in Coventry, whilst a regionally based field force manages the operational activities.

Who we look for

We look for candidates who take pride in everything they do, are dynamic and motivated to do their best and can work well in a team!

• Full EU Driving Licence is essential
• Working towards or obtained a 2:1 degree in any discipline
• 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent
