Marketing Placement

This 1 year placement within MSD Animal Health Ruminant Team, based in Milton Keynes, will provide the opportunity to build your skills and knowledge within the animal health industry, as well as providing valuable practical experience in marketing and project management.

You will work as part of a team of 4 Product Managers and a Technical Manager and have the opportunity to support, give input to and lead key projects.

Description:

As the Marketing Assistant you will assist with and gain exposure to:

• Devising and implementing marketing and PR campaigns on key strategic brands and disease areas within the dairy, beef and sheep sectors
• Project management of key shows and events, defining objectives and measuring ROI
• Organising and co-ordinating Sales Meetings for the ruminant commercial team
• Contributing to strategy and planning within category team meetings
• Liaising with design and digital agencies to complete artwork, print and digital media in a timely manner
• Supporting the field sales and veterinary advisor team with customer needs and requests
• Other ad-hoc projects as required

This is an office based role with an anticipated 1 day per month in the field.

Qualifications & Experience

• Enrolment on an agriculture, business or life sciences degree with a placement year.
• Sound understanding of UK livestock agriculture
• Attitudes required:
  • Outstanding team collaboration
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Good presentation skills
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
