Healthcare Services Placement

  • The Healthcare Service Placement student is a fully operational member of the Operational team and is responsible for ensuring good business practice applies to all of the business units activities.
  • In this very hands-on role the placement student will gain full insight of the strategy, operating model and day to day running of the business.

Key Activities

In this role the placement student will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all commercial contracts have the appropriate documentation and monitoring commercial performance of contracts (costs and revenue).
  • Management of timesheet reporting and conversion in to costs.
  • Assisting with Transfer of Value reporting (a compliance requirement for our industry).
  • Managing the EPICS portal on behalf of Healthcare Services
  • Managing the monthly Healthcare services dashboard report and newsletter.
  • Maintaining and updating the capacity model on a monthly basis.
  • Updating the key projects balanced scorecards on a monthly basis.

In addition the placement student may be asked to support with the organisation and logistics of internal events eg: training, team meetings etc.

In the process of carrying out this role the placement student will be required to
Collaborate with many colleagues across the Healthcare Services organisation and to engage cross-functionally with other parts of the wider business eg: business units, legal, finance etc.

  • A self starter who can be relied upon to work without supervision
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education and Experience

  • Working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in a business related or scientific degree
  • Entering your third or penultimate year of study, returning to your degree course at the end of the placement
