Customer Insight & CRM Co-ordinator

Brief description of department

Volvo Group UK has much strength, including a comprehensive product offer, an established and effective Dealer Network and a substantial Customer base. This enables our business to sustain high growth and turnover levels, and deliver industry leading standards of Customer support and satisfaction.

We have traditionally taken a positive approach to managing Customer relationships and experience, and this is an area which is coming under increasing focus as emerging CRM technologies and processes deliver valuable competitive advantage. For this reason we are now strengthening our resources further in this area, and providing increased Dealer support with our CRM and Customer Insight programme.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity within our department where the successful candidate will be able to contribute to the team and make a real change. The role reports directly to the Customer Insight & CRM team where there is opportunity to provide a new perspective and engage with current marketing trends.

Responsibilities

Working on various projects, the ideal candidate will get to learn about different areas of the department and develop a sound and broad understanding for their time after University.

Key projects include:

  • Working with Volvo’s Customer Management (CM) system, supporting data management activities such as data validation & cleansing, data integrity and data dedupe, integrating data sourced from external sources and research tools
  • Gather, integrate and analyse Business Intelligence data from a range of industry sources.
  • Support Dealers with data analysis in the areas of Customer segmentation, lapsed customers, prospects/ suspects, share of business etc.
  • Work in the area of lead generation, making calls/co-ordinating call activities with telemarketing agencies, gathering business details, following up sales leads and opportunities with Dealers, and ensuring the CM system is updated accordingly.
  • Support the wider central and Dealer business functions in the areas of Sales promotions & campaigns, incentive programmes and wider targeted marketing activities.
  • Support the process of Dealer performance reporting, highlighting areas of performance and data quality which can be improved.
  • Develop User Guides on the CM process for Dealer use (for example how to carry out updating/cleansing etc.).

Other Duties

In addition to the core projects, this role will also support the wider remit of the marketing team, with a range of tasks to support team deliverables & providing a broader marketing & communications experience for the successful applicant.

  • General assistance to other members of the marketing team as required, in particular with actions relating to events & network marketing
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Current degree requirements

  • Studying for a Customer/Public Relations and/or Marketing degree or related business degree.
  • 2 years completed – placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.
  • Academic grades on track for a First or High 2:1 on their chosen studies
