Software Engineering Placement

As a Software Engineering Intern you will be part of an Agile Scrum Team, developing improvements and new features of multi-million dollar software products. You will work closely with all functions of software engineering both within the UK and internationally to ensure the development of quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers

Notable activities you will be involved in…

• Working as part of an Agile Scrum Team
• Implementation of new software features in existing products, using latest technologies
• Resolution of defects in existing software
• Development of automated tests
• Working closely with the Product Owner to understand requirements
• Working with a User Experience Designer
• Communicating on features / development with international teams

This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced software engineering team, within an international software development company. It offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of a software solution as an integral part of the team

The ideal candidate

• Undergraduates who are ideally on a Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar degree.
• Ideally be on track for a 2:1 or above in their chosen degree subject
• Experience in Java, and JavaScript based UI technologies
• Experience with Relational and Distributed Database technologies is an advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well as a member of a team
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
• Have a passion for software development and learning new technologies
• Be driven, well focused, highly organized and punctual
