B2B PR Assistant

This role includes product marketing & PR support across the following product categories; Visual System Solutions professional displays and projectors, Professional Camera Solutions broadcast, surveillance and IMV and Communication Solutions. This role is within the Panasonic System Communications Company Europe (PSCEU) Communications Team.

Role Purpose:

To support the PSCEU European PR Manager with communications content development and distribution and monthly reporting of media coverage.

Outline of Duties:

  • Developing content including press releases, case studies, media alerts and all other types of copy writing and communications content
  • Organising press conferences, one-to-one editor meetings at trade shows and other events and taking an active role in monthly meetings
  • Attend and support events in the UK and Europe
  • Day-to-day communication with media, supplying information, growing relations, providing content and organising product samples for reviews
  • Responsible for collating monthly coverage reports for both the UK and the rest of Europe
  • Liaise with PR Agencies across Europe and participate in monthly PR reporting and planning calls
  • Daily communication with product marketing and other internal contacts across the PSCEU organisation
  • Assisting in planning and executing PR campaigns
  • Handling day-to-day administration tasks within the press office

Person Specification:

Qualifications/experience:

  • Degree relating to marketing communications and/or PR desired

Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of the role of PR within the function of brand and marketing communications essential

Skills and Abilities:

  • Good communication and organisational skills essential
  • Excellent writing skills essential
  • PC literacy and intermediate to advanced knowledge of common business applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint are essential along with basic image manipulation

Personal Qualities:

  • Enthusiastic team player with a good sense of humour
  • Good initiative and ability to think creatively whilst having the capability to follow instructions
  • Organised with good time management
  • Flexible and adaptable
