Business Support Coordinator

The Strategic Operation Team is based in the Customer Operations area of the Consumer Electronics Sales Group of Panasonic UK, this position reports directly to the Business Support Analyst. Our team is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and development of the systems used by both internal and external users. The key role would be the first line contact for the B2B (Business to Business) system.

Role Purpose:

Specifically, this role is covering all day-to day support for the B2B on-line system but also provides the opportunity to work in developing and enhancing the systems used by both internal and external users. This will enable the successful applicant to gain a general understanding across different parts of the business including Sales, Marketing & Finance. It requires strong numeracy and IT literacy but first-class communication skills (written & verbal) are essential as the role involves contact with staff at all levels across both Panasonic and our network of retailers.

Outline of Responsibilities

  • First line support for the Business to Business system
    • Day-to-day B2B system support for dealers and Area Sales Managers
    • Create Passwords & user-profiles for new dealers
    • Monitor price changes and model descriptions to ensure the data on the system is constantly accurate and up to date
    • Co-ordinate clear communication of Marketing activities to the retailers
  • Dealer Communication – Online Marketing Update
    • Working with our Brand Comms department and the Marketing Product Managers
  • Pro-active maintenance of sales promotion schemes to ensure quick payment of schemes
    • Setup marketing schemes
    • Carry out validation checks
    • Communicate with retailers as necessary
    • Monitor budgets
  • Online marketing schemes
    • Create & pay Display Allowance Plans (DAP’s)
    • Stock Compensation create and pay
    • Create notification to Area Sales Managers
    • Create notifications to retailers
  • Support for Master Data
    • Staff pricing
    • Model exclusivity flag
    • B2X model flag
    • New model setup support
  • Dealer Locator
    • Add and Maintain dealers on consumer B2C online shop
  • Support for the BSA
    • User acceptance testing and checking of new functionality
    • Creating supporting documentation for retailers & internal users

Person Specification:

Must be detailed, accurate and focussed on providing the best possible service for both internal and external customers

  • Business related degree desirable
  • Competent IT skills
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Strong logical-thinking / critical-thinking skills combined with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Good time management and time keeping
  • Confident to approach people of all levels
  • Team player with personal initiative
