Intern Technical Consultant

We are now recruiting bright design and engineering students for our summer internships, starting in July 2018. All the placements on offer will begin with two weeks of intensive training on a combination of Autodesk’s computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing software to give you an initial insight into manufacturing.

Following the initial training courses, you will be given every opportunity to use your knowledge and enthusiasm on a project supporting organisations around the world involved in the design, manufacture and quality control of products in a huge range of sectors including aerospace, automotive, medical, footwear and consumer goods.

Towards the end of the summer placement Interns are invited to take part in a ‘Project Showcase’ meeting which is an opportunity for Autodesk Managers and Directors to interact with the Interns and get an insight into the work undertaken and the results achieved over the summer.

Person Description

To continue our rapid growth, we need students with predicted first or upper second-class degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Product Design or related disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a real enthusiasm for using, explaining and communicating about cutting-edge applications and show confidence presenting in front of groups of people. On top of this candidates should understand general engineering principles and possess some manufacturing knowledge to enable them to understand the use for CADCAM products. Having the ability to manage workload and time in a team or in an individual environment is also preferable.

Entry requirements: Minimum 120 UCAS points (2017 UCAS tariff scale) and predicated 1st or 2i degree.
