Chemistry Placements

Chemical Synthesis
Your role working for a premier specialty chemical company will involve the development of novel chemistries and technologies to support end users such as Engine Oils, Gear Oils, Fuels and energy exploration. You will work with organic synthesis from a 1 to 20L scale, interpret analytical results, and working with the team to develop and commercialise the next generation of additives

Applied Sciences
As a research physical chemist, you’ll be part of a diverse, innovative group generating new ideas and applications impacting our business worldwide. You’ll work in our well-equipped, modern laboratory, using your creativity and problem solving skills to discover novel chemistries and new technologies. You will work on innovative projects under experienced research scientists and be expected to interact with our commercial, analytical and synthesis departments in Hazelwood and our headquarters in Wickliffe, Ohio.

Blend Test Services
As a student chemist within the team, you will work in the Testing or the Analytical Services Group. You will be part of a skilled professional team who perform, develop and create a diverse set of physical and analytical chemistry tests to evaluate Lubrizol’s products; providing physical chemical data, structural characterisation and chemical quantification.
