Methods, Processes and Digitalisation Placement

To provide the student with the opportunity, as part of Manufacturing Engineering (ME) to support their studies, to put into practice the theoretical knowledge they are acquiring and to gain experience of their chosen field and of its real working environment in Airbus. You will be part of a team that will deliver developed, tested and transnationally agreed methods, tools and processes to their ME stakeholders. These deliverables shall be on Time, Cost and Quality, and aligned to customer requirements.

Tasks

The Intern will understand the Role of Manufacturing Engineering in Airbus. Whilst putting into practice their theoretical knowledge of the Business. The successful candidate will liaise with end users of the specific process / methods and tools and co-ordinating inputs from stakeholders. In liaising with these stakeholders flexibility to travel will be expected, as well as an ability to communicate effectively across businesses and cultures.

The job holder will coordinate all planning milestones including Workshops, participation, User Acceptance Testing and also Business Acceptance Testing. The role will require extensive team working within local multi-functional teams and transnational project environments.

The job holder will support team Engagement, Teamwork and Innovation and will support new transnational project requirements into specific impacts to current business, ensuring that all stakeholders informed and aware.

Skills

You must be an undergraduate for the full duration of the placement studying towards a degree in one of the following:

  • Aerospace
  • Aeronautical
  • Mechanical
  • Manufacturing
