About Rolls-Royce

Our high-performance, integrated power solutions are at the cutting edge of technology. And it’s all thanks to our people. Whether they work in engineering or finance, manufacturing or project management, our 50,000-strong team work together to deliver excellence in the air, on land and at sea – to customers in 150 nations around the world.

Human Resources Summer Internship Programme

World-leading products simply wouldn’t exist if we didn’t have the people here to invent them. To produce them. To enhance them. To support them. To bring them to our customers, globally. And that’s why HR is so fundamental to our success. A summer internship with our HR team is a great way to get an insight into our business, and what it takes to do well here. Supporting our dynamic HR team on the delivery of some key projects, you’ll play an important part in making sure that we have the right people, in the right places, doing the right things, in the right way.

The programme

Learning from the best in the business, you’ll take on real-life assignments that will test you like never before. Over the 10 weeks you spend with us, you’ll be given practical experience in HR areas from business change to talent and leadership development, rewards and benefits. The variety is huge and the projects are real, so you can expect non-stop learning. Show us your skills and your potential, and you could have the chance to join our graduate programme – a fantastic start to a career with a prestigious global company.

What you’ll do

You’ll be working with experienced HR professionals either as part of a business team or in one of our centres of excellence. We’ll set you some goals, which you’ll achieve with support from the team and network around you. This will be an active learning environment where you’ll help deliver for our business. You might do that by working on generalist HR activities, or through supporting the development of our people and leaders. A recent intern completed the design for our Senior Leadership Conference, so when we say you’ll be tested on real-life assignments that could include some very high profile work.

What you’ll need

Along with being on course to achieve a 2.1 degree (or equivalent), we’ll want to see great interpersonal, communication and leadership skills developed through well-rounded life experience – academically, socially and in any previous work situations. Flexibility is important, as you could be based at any of our sites. Ambition and drive are also essential, and you’ll be excited about the fact that this internship could lead to a place on our graduate programme.

What you’ll get

  • £17,850 pa (pro rata)
  • Learn from experts
  • The chance to join our graduate programme if you perform well
  • Leisure facilities and numerous sports societies

Trusted to deliver excellence.

We recruit, select and develop our people on merit, irrespective of their race, colour, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability or any other characteristic.
