HR Industrial Placement

Our Employee Services team at EDF Energy is the first point of call for any employee or manager when it comes to all HR queries and support. As such, the team is critical to supporting the business, line managers and employees in all things HR.

We pride ourselves on providing our business with fast, high quality HR advice and being part of this team will give you a unique and exciting opportunity to have a solid foundation in key HR areas such as Payroll, HR Advisory, Reporting and Recruitment.

During your placement you will rotate between the various Employee Services functions every 6-8 weeks giving you great insight to the role each team plays in providing an exceptional service to the business.

At the end of your placement you will know which HR area you enjoyed the most and want to build a career in. The skills, knowledge and experience you will have gained will be invaluable to you going forward and will look great on your CV too.

About You

  • You’ll be on track to achieve or will have already achieved a 2:1 undergraduate or 2:2 postgraduate qualification, preferably in an HR related discipline however other disciplines will be considered.
  • Professional verbal and written communication; diagnostic and analytical skills with the ability to listen actively, ask probing questions and analyse underlying requirements; apply sound judgement with confidence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and passion for accuracy; “right first time” mentality.
  • Willingness to own tasks and the resilience to work through issues to conclusion, maintaining motivation; natural desire to streamline processes.
  • Proven organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple incoming activities and tasks through various channels; ability to define individual priorities and manage workload.
  • Strong IT skills.

Our Recruitment Process
