Finance Placement – Management Accounting

The Finance function is responsible for providing accurate and timely management information and financial reports to our business partners, both internally and externally. We deliver transparency, control and analysis to aid the decision making process. We have Management Accounting placement opportunities available within 3 different areas of the finance team;

  • Management Accounting: F1 Product Design & Engineering teams
  • Management Accounting: Business Operations & Investment
  • Management Accounting: Automotive Projects

What you will do:

  • Working closely with key operational business stakeholders you will gain valuable experience in the delivery and reporting of business operational costs, and budget implications based on the latest Engineering changes
  • Work across different functional areas and develop your costing skills by reviewing product changes
  • Support our business investment process by providing adequate transparency and control, and business partner the functional areas
  • Assist in the preparation of month end accruals, prepayments and provisions and delivery of the director’s information pack
  • Providing transparency of actual to budget variances and perform detailed analysis to find the underlying drivers and trends
  • Assist in the preparation of month end accruals, prepayments and provisions
  • Preparation of variance analysis reports for operations business partners
  • Gain practical experience of Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP)

What are we looking for?

  • Curious, tenacious and driven individuals who thrive in a face paced environment
  • Currently studying and on track for a First or 2:1, in a (or combination of) Accounting, Finance, Economics, Maths, Physics or other numerate degree
  • A strong academic background in relevant A Level disciplines, for example maths or sciences (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Excellent communicator, not afraid to take responsibility and deliver to tight timelines
  • Team player and be adaptable to meet business demands
  • People who are willing to go the extra mile to help the team succeed
