Supply Planning Placement

We have an exciting opportunity for a paid internship within our European Supply Planning team, where you will be able to gain valuable work experience in a global FMCG company.

We are seeking an intern to join our European Supply Planning team, based in Folkestone, Kent on a 12 month contract starting in Autumn 2017. The role will incorporate a range of exciting projects, including supporting the Supply Chain Planning Manager with organising worldwide requirements for a newly acquired brand. This will involve the planning of raw materials, packaging and finished goods.

Regular duties Include:

  • Working closely with the European Supply Chain Management team and the Procurement team to help on the move to full service.
  • Contribute to the set-up of the Direct to Consumer (D2C) project for the brand which will involve working alongside the IT team.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain /Customer Service teams to report on supplies and highlight potential issues.
  • Close co-ordination with the Project Management (PMO) team regarding artwork changes, optimising inventory and minimising write-offs.

Who we are looking for

We welcome applications from current students looking to undertake an industry placement year and also graduates seeking their first Supply Planning opportunity.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an undergraduate/postgraduate ideally in Business Studies or a related subject
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and desire to continuously improve.
  • Display excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Have an enquiring mind.
  • Be competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
