Finance Assistant Student Placement

We have an exciting future ahead, with our focus on continuing to build on the success of our service offering whilst also working to drive efficiency throughout all of the processes in our business, and that’s where you come in.
 
We have an exciting opportunity within our Finance department where you will be able to come in and make a real change. Working closely with the Programme Finance Manager, you will support on on-going transformation projects to assist with benefit tracking, cost analysis and presentation of results.
 
We will be looking for you to critically review and analyse different processes within our business. This will then put you in a position to work with the wider team to evaluate key future processes. You will need to understand exactly what each process looks like and analyse the cost and resources required.
 
You will be responsible for tracking benefits for on-going projects as well as tracking discretionary cost within the UK business. From here you will be able to identify areas for cost saving and share these recommendations with senior management. Our finance department work to tight monthly deadlines and you will be able to provide highly valuable support by updating financial tracking systems ahead of time.

What you’ll need

• To be studying for a degree within Accounting and Finance, that offers a placement year opportunity
• Hold a full EU driving licence
• To be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders
• The ability to manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines
