Content Creator & Social Media Assistant

What you can expect

This twelve-month placement within the Crop Protection Division at BASF Plc, located near Manchester, is an excellent opportunity to join over 100,000 employees at the world's leading chemical company and gain valuable insight into the dynamic business environment of a global organization.

  • In this role, you will be responsible for the website Content Creation & Management as well as all aspects of Social Media within the Crop Protection Team.
  • You will be responsible for content creation and management for streams outlined in the content strategy and for campaign messages, which will include managing and uploading content for products and other areas of the website.
  • For Facebook and Twitter, you will monitor daily for opportunities and engagement and engage where appropriate. This will include uploading pre-approved technical content as well as strategy and campaign content.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the content creation and development for Instagram-specific campaigns, as well as the schedule management of these campaigns.
  • Finally, you will also manage and archive all assets and provide weekly reports on web analytics and social media.

What we expect

  • You are working towards a PR, Marketing or Communications degree expecting at least a 2:1.
  • Beyond this, you are proficient in IT programmes, specifically Excel. It is advantageous if you have a knowledge of Google Analytics and WordPress.
  • In addition, you have a high standard of writing, creativity with experience of content management systems as preferential.
  • You have prior professional social media and photography experience and knowledge of analytics.
  • You are a confident, self-motivated individual with excellent communication and work management skills, which are critical to succeed in this varied role.
