IT Placement

Do you want to gain 12 months of experience in IT in a business with a portfolio of iconic brands including Evian, Volvic, Activia?

The IT On Site Support will, through a proactive approach, provide internal customers with technical IT support in order to enable Danone employees to operate more effectively and efficiently. The IT On Site Support will analyze and troubleshoot customer problems and advise on appropriate action where the Service Desk has not been able to resolve requests. The IT On Site Support will pursue service excellence by taking into account:

  • Professionalism and customer first attitude
  • Effectiveness and efficiency of users support
  • Drive continuous improvement across IT services and processes
  • Ensuring disruption to the business and customer is kept to a minimum
  • Collaboration with the wider DANiS team and suppliers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

  • Provide technical support to internal customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Performs hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Ensure that written responses are accurate, professional, clear and concise.
  • Ability to work on a shift pattern and occasional unsociable hours.
  • Ensure that customers are provided with relevant user guides and the IT section of the intranet is up to date with relevant content and IT news articles.
  • Ensure positive relationships are built and maintained with all involved parties (business, team, suppliers).
  • Ensure that knowledge and experience is well documented and shared with colleagues through the IT shared area
  • Ensure detailed documentation is produced and maintained up to date at all times.
  • Ensure that regular daily responsibilities are completed on time.
  • Ensure that audit requirements are met in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure availability and reliability of the provided services
  • Ensure confidentiality of the information provided by customer (i.e. user name, password, others)
  • Ensure backup operations are executed and monitored and potential issues are escalated to the IT HUB
  • Ensure governance processes are implemented and followed.
  • Contribute to the development and align to the DAN’IS corporate standards.
  • Participate in local infrastructure or security related projects.
  • Maintain asset inventory up to date at all times.
  • Constantly educate the business in the value of IT / constraints of IT

  • An excellent academic record; you should be on track for a 2:1 or above and have at least 300 UCAS Points
  • Available to work full-time for the duration of your internship
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (i.e. without a visa)
