Assistant Accountant
Role 1 (six months)
- Cashiering –downloading and posting bank receipts, allocating customer payments to invoices, reconciling bank accounts
- Credit control –chasing debt from your section of the Sales Ledger
- Society accountant –responsible for all accounting functions for a small entity including producing monthly accounts, trial balance and statutory accounts
- Any other reasonable task
Role 2 (six months)
- Support month end tasks including; assisting with royalty calculations, processing and reconciling intra-group accounts, balance sheet reconciliations to meet the department deadlines, ad hoc reports
- Produce management accounts for specific departments within the group
- Any other reasonable task
Key Technical Skills
- Confident user of Excel, basic Word skills, basic database knowledge and the capability to understand financial systems is essential
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles is desirable
Essential Requirements
- Good time management skills and workload prioritisation are essential in order to meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Accurate worker who pays attention to detail and is able to communicate at all levels
- Team player
