Business IT (Drug Safety) Placement

Excellent opportunity for a Business IT (Drug Safety) placement in the Mundipharma Drug Safety Systems team. The team is responsible for the detection, assessment and understanding of adverse drug reactions (side effects) for new and existing products, and minimising drug safety risks to patients.

In this placement you will…

Assist the Drug Safety Systems team in the development of a variety of data systems, this will include: -

  • Contributing to new IT projects, working with internal and external parties
  • Assisting with the creation of new processes, either through the creation of new/changes to existing systems
  • Support the set-up of electronic document storage systems and the migration of data
  • Testing and validation of updates/upgrades to existing systems
  • Ensuring that data is validated and to a high standard
  • Creating and reviewing department standard operating practices as required

You’ll need to be…

  • Studying toward an IT, Computer Science or Business Information Systems degree
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Flexible in your approach to work and able to prioritise effectively
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to develop strong relationships with people at all levels across the organisation
  • Able to take ownership and work to tight deadlines, with good time management skills
  • Passionate about working within a pharmaceutical organisation

This placement would suit an applicant who enjoys working in an operational environment, working with both technical and operational aspects, and understands the importance of confidential data.
