Marketing Placements ̶̶ Roche Molecular Solutions

Starting in the Summer 2017, for a 12-month period, we are giving two people the opportunity to work as a Marketing Intern, within the Marketing Department of Roche Molecular Solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a Marketing, Business Management, Life Science or Medical/Biomedical Science undergraduate/graduate seeking a placement or their first career step.

Roche Molecular Solutions (RMS) UK is a market leader in both Molecular and Tissue Diagnostics. With over 25 years’ experience in PCR testing technology, Roche play a vital role in the diagnosis and ongoing treatment monitoring of a wide range of diseases. With exciting plans for future launches in the pipeline, you will be coming into the Molecular Systems team at an opportune time to learn about the development of the molecular marketing strategy for the UK.

Roche Tissue Diagnostics (RTD) provides products and services to Pathologists and Laboratories to help them with the diagnosis and treatment of Patients with Cancer. Tissue Diagnostics is at the “cutting edge” of healthcare delivery including “Personalised Healthcare” working closely with Pharmaceutical companies to reshape the healthcare landscape and the way Cancer is diagnosed, treated and managed.

The Role

Based at our state-of-the-art site in Burgess Hill (15 minutes by train from Brighton), you will be working closely with the marketing management team and gain invaluable knowledge and experience in the process, helping in the achievement of business marketing objectives through hands-on marketing implementation and project-management. You will have the opportunity to assist in all aspects of Molecular Solutions marketing including customer events, marketing campaigns and new product launches: this really is a great opportunity for a first marketing role.

Other Key Responsibilities include:

  • Analysing the market to provide insight into the local market dynamics and prelaunch preparation
  • Monitoring the impact of direct marketing campaigns
  • Evaluating the success of marketing activities based on defined key performance indicators and make recommendations for future improvements.
  • Monitoring competitor activities, liaising with Global and EMEA colleagues and providing early warning and insight into competitor actions in the market place.
  • Managing product supply through allocations process
  • Supporting with Roche training solutions
  • Managing and developing projects and processes
