Marketing Promotions Executive – Student Placement

This role is based in the commercial department in the marketing and digital team. This ever changing environment means that no day is the same, with new opportunities being presented every day. The marketing team’s main objective is to leverage multiple advertising channels to drive customers to the Avis and Budget websites.

Your role is part of the promotions team, this includes opportunities to work with, ECRM, Display, PPC and Affiliates on planning large Pan European marketing campaigns. The role gives the opportunity to work with international contacts and global agencies as you are responsible for planning promotional activity in 16 countries across three brands.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative candidate with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, working towards a degree in marketing, media or business management. You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, good attention to detail and a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications and online collaborative working tools.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the creation, production and distribution of digital creative assets for Pan European advertising activity.
  • Work closely with European digital managers, EMEA pricing managers, external agencies and other key stakeholders to coordinate worldwide promotions.
  • Collate, audit and distribute monthly promotions from worldwide countries.
  • Work with channel managers to audit and produce commentary for monthly reports
  • Provide administration support including processing and documenting invoices.
  • Meet regularly with European digital managers and key contacts to plan promotions on a fortnightly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Organise completion of translations for creative assets in order to hit key campaign deadlines.
  • Work independently to facilitate large company wide promotions
  • Responsible for producing monthly feed of discounts to be used in dynamic display banners.
  • Work with digital analytics to provide timely reporting on promotional activity.
  • Ensure web assets are available for the digital managers to access easily for both Avis and Budget as well as ensuring Licensees also receive the assets when needed.
  • Update and manage contact distribution lists to ensure all relevant stakeholders receive correct information and are aware of their own responsibilities for campaigns

You will benefit from this placement by having guidance, support and mentoring from an experienced marketing manager while working with within a passionate team of experienced and enthusiastic individuals. You will have being given the opportunity to add value to real projects which will enhance the organisation – no tea making here!

You will ideally be working towards a degree in Marketing, Business or Management or degree. You should have excellent communication skills and good attention to detail. Strong Excel skills are essential.
