Commercial Marketing Intern

Work Assignment Overview:

Support Austrian Organization in various Marketing activities, including the development of Kalydeco and Orkambi promotional material and set up of Patient Support programs

Work Assignment Goals:

• Supporting the Austrian Marketing Manager in developing promotional materials for Kalydeco and Orkambi for HCPs as well as educational materials for CF patients
• In depth analysis of recent market research data to assist input to marketing materials
• Supporting the Austrian Marketing Manager in setting up a Patient Support program for Austria similar to the CF Therapy Care program of Germany
• Produce well-written Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets that communicate key points in a clear and concise format

Skills/Educational Background Required:

• On-going studies or Bachelor Degree with a clear focus on Marketing and Marketing Communications
• Energetic, enthusiastic and resourceful with a drive to exceed expectations
• Understanding of the healthcare environment in Austria
• Strong interest and fast learner of medical backgrounds and CF
• Ability to draft and edit materials for HCPs and patients clearly, succinctly and in a timely manner
• Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to set priorities effectively and efficiently, identify areas that need further research
• A high level of written and spoken English, strong communicator

Skills to be Learned:

• Deep understanding of the CF market in Austria
• Deep understanding of the needs of all CF stakeholders
• Understanding of how a Vertex works and positions itself
• Project Management
