Product Management Assistant

Main purpose of the role

The Product Management Assistant Placement will undertake a range of activities to support the Product Management team in the development and delivery of a profitable product portfolio, in accordance with the VocaLink corporate and Business Development strategies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support for market research and analysis to support new product Development
  • Management of Requests For Change (RFC) from Product and Customers
  • Contribute to customer propositions to satisfy market needs
  • Contributing to forecast activity of both project spend and revenue.
  • Supporting the production of business cases and financial models for new and existing products.
  • The role is a supporting role within the product management structure and, which, while not leading the engagement, may have some interaction with customers at a general service level. This is regarded as offering the first step on a broad career path in a commercial environment.
  • The jobholder will be able to communicate across the organisation, with amongst others, representatives from IT projects, Finance, Marketing and Sales.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive approach with willingness to take ownership of issues
  • Disciplined and professional approach.
  • Ability to plan and organise effectively
  • Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Visio.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of business cases and financial planning.

Qualifications

Good level of secondary education to a minimum of ‘A’ level (or equivalent). Good interim-grades in a relevant degree course, part completed.
