Main Duties of this Position

Depending on the aspirations of the candidate, One or more of the following are required:

  • Digital hardware design, development and test
  • Analogue hardware design, development and test
  • Software design, development and test

General duties:

  • Architecture design and documentation
  • Test, debug, and productionising such designs
  • Supporting conformance testing for such designs
  • Supporting the integration of software and RF hardware into such designs
  • Supporting existing designs, including obsolescence issues
  • Support the demonstration, deployment and maintenance of such systems

In order to be successful within this role and reap the benefits that come with it is essential that the right candidate has:

  • Undertaking Degree Level Higher Educated
  • High speed digital design and/or software development skills
  • Flexibility to move between hardware and software design
  • Interest in communication / radio systems desirable
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to work solo, or as part of a team

Whilst not essential, the following would be desirable:

  • The post holder must have the flexibility to work in a dynamic company, and approach their work with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
  • The post holder must be prepared to help the TRL management team to ensure the success of a project in any reasonable way.
  • The post holder must possess interpersonal skills, to effectively work with customer representatives from a variety of cultural & ethnic backgrounds, ranging from junior to the most senior levels, and displaying a confident, polite and professional demeanour at all times.
