Petrophysics Internship
If you want to develop a rewarding career in petrophysics, a BP internship could be the right choice for you. Without petrophysicists, we couldn’t get enough oil and gas out of the ground to help satisfy the world’s growing demand for energy. It’s an opportunity to work in dynamic, collaborative environments, in areas such as exploration, field development or at a producing asset. You’ll play a vital role in the world’s energy consumption and our business.
As a petrophysicist, you’ll interact with geoscientists; reservoir, petroleum and drilling engineers; as well as commercial and other disciplines to turn your evaluations into action. By defining the volume and distribution of oil and gas and the flow characteristics of our reservoirs, you’ll be able to investigate the reservoir rocks and fluids to determine the presence and saturation of oil and gas. It’s important work carried out by our multi-disciplinary and multicultural subsurface team – we make sure you’ll be involved in live projects and be given real responsibility from day one.

Who we look for
You could come to us with a good degree in earth science, geology, geophysics, geoscience, maths, natural sciences, petroleum geology, or physics. We also welcome applications from graduates with an MSc or PhD in relevant disciplines.
