Subsurface Information Management

From exploration to production, Subsurface Information Management staff deliver crucial roles to ensure that our Upstream Functions have the data and analysis that they need to find and produce reserves. Those in our information and data management teams are responsible for ensuring that billions of dollars of assets for Upstream BP are fit for purpose, discoverable and accessible. They do this by managing the information and data throughout the Upstream lifecycle, enabling the company to maximise value in the exploration, development and production of the oil and gas fields.

The team controls, protects and facilitates timely access to quality assured information and data for consumers across the Subsurface group. They are required to work with many types of subsurface information and data including seismic, well, spatial, and production data. Who we look for

To join us, you’ll need a willingness to learn, and a passion to excel and deliver results. You’ll be a penultimate year student on track for a 2:1 bachelor’s degree or equivalent in geosciences, or engineering, information technology information or data management.

Wherever your talents and aspirations lie, we expect a high level of academic achievement. But every bit as important will be the individual attributes and personal qualities you bring to our team.
