About NCS The Challenge

The Challenge is the UK's leading charity for building a more integrated society. Our mission is to design and deliver programmes that bring different people together to develop their confidence and skills in understanding and connecting with others.

Programme Officers

NCS The Challenge are looking for highly organised and logistical individuals with various levels of logistical experience to help with the running of the National Citizen Service (NCS) in London, Surrey, Buckinghamshire & Berkshire, West Midlands, Manchester, Lancashire or Yorkshire for our programme management roles.

We have a number of in-house roles that are perfect for people who can work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with diverse range of people.

Our programme management roles oversee work on a number of NCS programmes throughout summer 2017 alongside a number of The Challenge core staff in the Programmes team. These roles include Delivery Programme Assistant Manager, Delivery Assistant Programme Manager, Senior Community Programme Leader and Programme Administrator.

NCS allows young people to take part in outdoor activities, skill development and community volunteering. In summer 2016, over 38,000 young people participated in our intensive three to four week programme. 2017 is our most ambitious programme to date and its lasting impact relies on the 4,500 seasonal staff members who will inspire their journey.

The Challenge is the UK's leading charity for building a more integrated society and the largest provider of NCS. Our mission is to design and deliver programmes that bring different people together to develop their confidence and skills in understanding and connecting with others.
