Engineering Placement, lookup search engines

Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Networking Systems Solutions Engineering works with Intel's largest customers to design solutions covering a wide range of computer network applications. These applications include: traditional network equipment such as switches, bridges, routers, and new network equipment implementing Network Function Virtualization and/or Software Defined Networking.

One of challenges in high-speed networking design is designing fast lookup systems, capable of analysing packet information at the line rate and with efficient resources usage. At Intel PSG, we design algorithmic- and direct lookup search engines to support existing and future networking technologies.

Intel's Network System Solutions Engineering team, based in High Wycombe, UK, is offering a 6-month internship for one student, with the following goals.
