As a Sales and Marketing intern at pladis UK, you can expect to support the Convenience field sales team to deliver growth with a particular customer type or a specific product opportunity. You will be reporting into a senior sales manager to deliver sales KPIs in the field based activity as well as delivering on a research project that will support the wider commercial function. As an intern, you will also work on a commercial project that focuses on a marketing or sales topic the requires investigations and recommendations.

Overview of accountabilities and deliverables

  • Develop core selling skills in a face to face selling to the customer environment in the convenience channel
  • Deliver on KPIs to drive distribution and sales in Convenience on a pladis core range and/or NPD launch
  • Manage a commercial research project on topical issues currently facing the business, market and industry
  • Establish strong relationships with the customer and internal stakeholders to deliver on objectives

  • You must have the Right to live and Work in the UK.
  • Must hold a full UK drivers licence.
  • You must have a strong academic background, with a minimum of an expected 2:1 (60% or international equivalent) at degree level, and a minimum 300 UCAS points.
  • You must be able to demonstrate teamwork, drive for results and leadership potential
  • Effective at building relationships
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team working towards a common goal
  • Previous experience working in a customer facing role, with retail or sales experience is desirable.
