About E.ON

E.ON provides electricity and gas to millions of customers across the UK. Our vision is a simple one: we want to be the trusted energy partner for our customers. We back technologies like Combined Heat & Power (CHP) that recycle heat and lower bills. With 23 wind farms and the country’s largest biomass power plant, we’re major investors in renewable and alternative energy. And we won Large Supplier of the Year in 2014 and came top for Overall Customer Satisfaction in 2012 and 2013 at the uSwitch Energy Awards. It’s a record we’re proud of and with your help, one we’ll maintain.

Field Operations Internship

Field Operations currently has a Fleet of approximately 1600 vehicles which is likely to increase by up to 1000 vehicles between 2017 and 2020. The Resource and Fleet Analyst will be responsible for reviewing the current process for ordering new, and replacing existing, vehicles as well as leading other research and analytical projects.

What you’ll do

  • Identify cost saving initiatives by analysing key data on mileage, demand, cost, vehicle size and geographical information
  • Implement a smarter, cost effective way of managing the Fleet
  • Looking at the viability and benefit of ‘greening’ the Fleet with the introduction of electric vehicles in some geographical areas

What we’re looking for

You’ll have outstanding data analysis skills and be able to recommend commercially viable solutions in an appropriate and engaging format. To support this area of the role you will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

It is desirable that you have experience managing a fleet, but this is not essential – more important is strong business acumen and an awareness of how good fleet management contributes to the success of a business like E.ON
