The team

Information Solutions is a critical business department, delivering trusted and innovative technology, enterprise architecture, business intelligence, infrastructure and information governance across the organisation. Our successful and rapidly growing team is directly connected to the NATS CIO and is fundamental to the business transformation and value delivery needed to achieve NATS long-term objectives.

The role

For IT, Computer Science, Software, Information Management or Business Technology Students, the Industrial Placement role will offer the candidate experience of delivery of IT solutions to the NATS customer in accordance with Business objectives and the CIO strategy.

Successful candidates will develop specialist skills in particular domains and accountabilities for the role will relate to that specific domain. In addition the candidate will experience, capturing requirements within the Business for providing standardised solutions to business needs or in support of specific business IT related projects, working with external suppliers in support of delivering the service and managing contract/service changes in accordance with formal change procedures.

The person

Applicants should be studying for a degree with a specific focus on Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Information Management or Business Technology.

Personal qualities required include excellent literacy and numeracy skills, self confidence, an enthusiastic and positive approach, and the ability to both work as part of a team and to communicate effectively at all levels. The candidate should be well organised, self motivated and able to take responsibility for their own workload including planning and prioritising to meet deadlines.

Although no specific experience is required, applicants should provide details of any work experience to date, together with the relevant personal qualities they have developed through extra curricular activities.

You must be eligible for NATS security clearance.
