Aldi is one of the most reputable retailers in the global business market today. With a simple goal of providing great value and quality, using leaner and smarter business processes, we’re a supermarket that’s getting it right. We’re winning all kinds of awards and new stores are springing up all over the country as we rapidly increase our market share.
At Aldi, our Industrial Placements are tough. But they’re tough for a reason. It’s an opportunity for you to contribute to a thriving, global business – one that’s ranked second in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list for 2016. We’ll challenge you, but we’ll always support you along the way. After all, it’s a two-way thing. And it’s this approach to our Industrial Placements that have made them such a stand-out success.
Corporate Buying Industrial Placement
On our Corporate Buying Programme, you’ll learn about so much more than just ‘Buying’. You’ll experience all the specialist areas of the product lifecycle – everything from Corporate Responsibility and Quality Assurance, right through to PR and Customer Services. This way, you can pick the area that really interests you.
Once you’ve decided on your specialism, you’ll get to bring your ideas to the table. Our talented teams come up with innovative new processes, all in an effort to make a positive impact on the environment. So it’s a unique chance to not only learn new business skills, but to also benefit future generations. If this wasn’t already enough of a challenge, you’ll juggle it within a complex and fast-paced environment – becoming an expert problem-solver along the way.
From the moment you start at Aldi, we’ll look after you properly. You’ll get £25,000 for the 12 months you spend with us, together with 4 weeks’ holiday allowance (plus bank holidays). If the role fits, we’d love you to apply for a permanent role after you graduate.
To earn your placement, you’ll be working towards a 2:1 in any discipline on a sandwich degree course. You’ll also have a minimum of 240 UCAS points (or 150 points for Scottish Highers) from your top 3 A-levels/Scottish Highers. It’s important you have the right to work in the UK. And, while you don’t require access to a car, you’ll still need a driving licence.
