Fixed Income Credit Internship

The role of the Credit Intern is to provide analysis in support of the team’s management of corporate bond holdings for the firm’s clients. Analysis will be focused on UK and European corporates and financial issuers. A responsibility of the Credit Intern may be the production of company and sectorial research, or a specific project impacting portfolio positioning and strategy.

Key Outcomes

  • Develop a knowledge of corporate bond markets, help generate trade ideas and strategies that help drive portfolio performance
  • Discussion of ideas with wider portfolio management team and analysts
  • Become familiar with a range of investment systems and processes, and keeping up-to-date with any enhancements
  • Meet with companies and subsequently write reports capturing key data identified
  • Can work effectively with a mentor/coach in order to improve technical and personal development
  • Support portfolio managers and investment specialists in the production and maintenance of presentation materials

Core skill requirements / interests

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, enthusiastic, numerate, who has the ability to analyse and think for themselves, who wishes to learn about credit analysis and investments, and who will fit in to a strong team culture. Excel and or/modelling skills will be useful.
