Working in PR and Communications, you will be helping to portray our brand in the best way possible to the press, through social media and our global website. This may include liaising day to day on specific products or offers to readers, managing large-scale events, as well as researching and co-ordinating information to present on a larger scale. Supporting senior management, you will be given responsibility for your own live projects within the team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Managing content creation for corporate social media channels
  • Assisting in creating content and providing updates for the global website, media and image databases
  • Manage the weekly creation and delivery of communication newsletters; delivering high quality content to our internal stakeholders
  • Support in delivering the business communication strategies
  • Update communication pages on the company Intranet
  • Co-ordinating zone and market information (e.g. media coverage, feature ideas) and presenting this information in a creative way
  • Working with L’Oréal to communicate The Body Shop business within the wider Group
  • Implement Group initiatives within The Body Shop
  • Co-ordinating all media coverage and creating easily understandable means for presenting information
  • Support in the planning and delivery of key activities and events across the business

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Understanding of the beauty business
  • Understanding of communications tools
  • Web skills – ability to manage Intranet & HTm
  • Be a logical and rational thinker who can simplify a complex problem and offer clear and effective solutions
  • Capacity to understand the bigger business picture
  • Have a technical mind but keen to work within the heart of a business
  • Numerate and PC literate: in particular with strong Excel skills
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to interact with all areas of the business
  • Able to work closely with all internal departments, Sales and Marketing, Customer Services, the Warehouse, IT and Finance, requiring the need to be a proactive team-player, and be able to build relationships quickly
  • Keen to pursue a career in Operations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • You must be completing a placement as part of your degree
  • You must be on track to attaining a 2:1 for your degree
