Digital Marketing Industrial Placement

Working closely with the Digital Manager you will be responsible for key areas of Digital Marketing across the portfolio of L’Oréal brands within your division. You will also take on project responsibilities in the following areas;

  • Content creation; liaising with key stakeholders to provide content to be used in email marketing, on the brand site and on social media platforms
  • Running Customer Relationship Management (CRM) campaigns; interpreting, testing and improving results to ensure campaigns run as best practice
  • Search Engine Marketing; managing and reporting on Paid and Organic search performance
  • Managing social media presence; sharing and interpreting results
  • The Body Shop® is also offering a role for a Social Media internship; support the running of their Social Media profiles and campaigns for the UK market.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES COULD INCLUDE:

Website Maintenance

  • Assist Marketing and Digital Manager in the management of brand website updates – Banners, content, brand hubs, and catalogue
  • Proof-read branded content and localisation kits provided by marketing to ensure agency information is provided
  • Website analytics and reporting

CRM

  • Work with marketing team to build brief for monthly newsletters and solus email campaigns
  • Brief CRM agencies
  • Collating and presenting monthly performance, including recommendations on improvements and testing
  • Manage CRM calendar, ensuring appropriate timings of broadcast

Social Media

  • Manage Social media campaigns, moderation and social listening
  • Social analytics and reporting
  • Competitor analysis and trend reporting

Search

  • Work with search agency to identify trends and content gaps and brief editorial content
  • Implementing SEO best practice
  • Reviewing adcopy and keyword recommendations and ensuring legal & scientific approval

Tools & Apps

  • Manage content updates of branded apps
  • Work with digital manager and agencies on integration of web tools

E-Commerce

  • Work with sales and marketing team on brand eCommerce and eRetailer catalogue update
  • Assist in the development of eRetail brand shops and campaigns

Media

  • Work with media agency to support the delivery of marketing digital campaigns, including supplying of assets, links and reporting

Reporting

  • Regularly generate, analyse, interpret and communicate traffic against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Competitor benchmark analysis and monitoring competitor campaigns
  • Research and create best practice presentations on new digital initiatives

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Creative, with an eye for web site design & usability
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage projects, focus on achieving objectives, adjust priorities, manage time and follow up on actions
  • Show a keen interest in Social Media and Mobile technologies e.g. iPhone/ Android apps & mobile-optimised websites
  • Previous experience using digital software programmes would be a bonus
  • A media/digital enthusiast who currently has their own active social profile on multiple platforms as well as a demonstrable interest in social media new and developments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • You must be completing a placement as part of your degree
  • You must have a minimum of 300 UCAS points and be on track to attaining a 2:1 for your degree
